琉球列島先史時代遺跡から出土する貝蓋器の使用用途を推定するため，貝蓋外表面有機物層や断面石灰質層の硬さ値および弾性率測定を行った．その結果，現在使用されている鋼製切削器具とほぼ同等の硬さ値を有していること，これより切削器具としての用途が推定されることを示した．

異方性を示す立方晶ダイヤモンドの機械的特性測定におけるナノインデンテーション試験の有用性を確認するために，フックの法則の一般式を示した上で数種類の単結晶ダイヤモンド試験片におけるナノインデンテーション試験を実施し，各結晶方向でのヤング率およびポアソン比で計算された理想的ナノインデンテーション曲線と，同方向での実験結果を比較・検討した．理論曲線と実験曲線との一致度合いは概ね良好であったことから，ダイヤモンドのヤング率測定におけるナノインデンテーション試験の有用性が示された．

押込み弾性係数の押込み深さ依存性を検討する第一段階として，溶融石英・ガラス・炭素鋼試験片に対する押込み試験から得られた実験結果の除荷曲線形状を解析するとともに，Oliverらの実験結果に対しても同様の解析を行った。その結果，いずれの除荷曲線においても除荷開始点近傍の試験力と除荷変位の関係は直線であり，よって実際の最大接触深さはISO14577-1において定義されているhr（除荷開始点での接線と横軸との交点）となる事を明らかにした。

2種類の圧子形状と対応する解析方法を伴う，計装化押込み試験およびトップコートヤング率算出をしゃ熱コーティング材トップコート試験片に対して行い，圧子形状および解析方法の影響について考察した。また参照用として，同条件の試験片による曲げ試験およびトップコートヤング率算出を実施し，上述の押込み試験から算出したトップコートヤング率と比較・検討した。<br />
その結果，球状圧子における算出ヤング率が低く試験力依存性かつ3点曲げ試験結果との良好な一致を示す事を明らかにした．また，三角錐圧子における算出ヤング率の著しい試験力依存の原因は，試験・解析方法に起因する押込み寸法効果および材料の組織的特徴の影響が重畳したものと推察される。

自動車シートの座面強度の実験的・理論的解析査読

自動車前面が衝突する交通事故において，シートベルトを装着しエアバッグが展開したにもかかわらず前席乗員が内臓損傷により死亡または重傷を負うという事例が散見される。この原因として，シート座面の下方への大きな変形に起因するサブマリン現象（ラップベルトの上方へのずれ）の発生が考えられる。<br />
本論文では，まずシート座面の静的圧縮試験を行い，シート構造と圧縮強度の関係について検討した。加えて，シート座面強度のCAE解析を行い，構造の変更による座面強度向上への寄与に関する知見を得た。最後に，得られた結果に基づきシート座面に求められる圧縮強度に関する提言を行った。

これまで筆者らは，計装化押込み試験を利用したしゃ熱コーティング材のトップコートヤング率算出にあたって，ISO14577で規定されている方式とは異なる，球状圧子を用いたHertzの弾性接触理論に基づくヤング率算出理論の適用を提案してきた。本論文では，トップコートヤング率算出の際の校正用試験片の差異による影響を検討した。<br />
その結果，鋼製硬さ基準片HMV500の使用を伴うトップコートヤング率算出において，試験力依存性が低く均一な結果が得られる事を明らかにした。

This paper introduces the brief summary of the recent collaboration test results on thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) in the JSMS Subcommittee, which covers the measurements of elastic modulus, tensile strength, residual stress and thermal conductivity of the TBC specimens. Here, the round-robin TBC specimens consisting of 8% yttria stabilized zirconia, CoNiCrAlY alloy bond coat and Ni-base superalloy were prepared by plasma spraying method. The isothermal exposure and the thermal cycles were applied to the TBC specimens by several conditions at high temperatures, to measure both the residual stress and the remaining adhesion strength of the ceramic top, as well as to characterize the thermally grown oxide at the top coat/bond coat interface. The round-robin test results clearly demonstrated that the adhesion strength was significantly changed by the application of thermal cycles and the isothermal exposure. Of particular important results was found in the remaining adhesion strength that were strongly dependent on the testing method to give the thermal cycles.

衝突実験によるシート座面変形とシートベルト損傷に関する研究−シート座面強度に関する安全規準の提案− 査読

自動車前面が衝突する交通事故において，シートベルトを装着しエアバッグが展開したにもかかわらず前席乗員が内臓損傷により死亡または重傷を負うという事例が散見され，その中でシート座面が下方へ大きく変形している場合がある。この変形の原因として，衝突時の乗員の前方移動に際してラップベルトにより腰部が下方に引張られる状態となることによる，座面前方での下向きの荷重の作用等が考えられる。この変形によりラップベルトが上方にずれる，いわゆるサブマリン現象が生じる可能性がある。<br />
本論文では，ダミーを乗せた実車による衝突実験を実施し，衝突時の車両の変形，ダミーの挙動，シート座面の変形などを車内外に設置した高速度カメラにより撮影記録した。その結果，衝突時のダミーの挙動，シート座面の変形挙動，車体とダミーの減速度，シートベルトの延伸状況，ハンドルの変形状況，ダミーの損傷状況等を確認した。また映像記録の詳細な解析およ

HOT-DIP法によって施工されたすずめっき材において，施工中に形成される金属間化合物η-Cu6Sn5層，および施工後の150℃程度の熱的負荷により生じる金属間化合物ε-Cu3Sn層の2種の中間合金層の存在が報告されている。これらは加熱温度および時間の増大に伴い成長し，また高硬度である事から過度の中間合金層成長はHOT-DIPすずめっき材が本来有している可塑性の低減およびそれに起因する接触面間の電気的抵抗の増大，または接触に伴う中間合金層でのき裂発生およびはく離・脱落を導く可能性がある。一方，JIS H8504：めっきの密着性試験方法が規定されているが，一般的なめっき皮膜の基材−めっき間の密着性を評価するためのものであり，上述した中間合金層成長に伴う密着性の低下への考慮はなされていない。<br />
そこで本論文では，中間合金層成長後のHOT-DIPすずめっき材における密着性評価方法の確立を目的として，まず各種熱処理による中間合金層成長挙動の定量化を行った。加え

超微小押込み試験用の標準試料として，均一性に優れ弾性回復の割合が高い特性を有する非晶質かつ透明なガラス系試料（溶融石英やガラス）が主に用いられているが，マクロレンジ荷重における割れの発生や光学的くぼみ測定の困難さという問題もある。一方，金属製硬さ基準片においては光学的くぼみ測定が比較的容易であり，また従来のマイクロビッカース硬さ（MHV）やビッカース硬さ（HV）との連続評価性という利点を有している。<br />

ここ数年の交通事故鑑定時において，前席でシートベルトを装着しエアバッグが展開したにもかかわらず，乗員が内臓損傷により死亡または重傷を負うという事例が散見される。このような事例においては，シート座面が下方に変形することによる乗員のサブマリン現象（通常，骨盤前上部にかかっている3点式シートベルトの腰ベルト部分が，何らかの原因により骨盤から外れて上方にずれる現象）が生じ，シートベルトが腹部に食い込む原因となっている可能性が考えられる。<br />

既報の同名論文第8報における約20nm以下の押込み変位領域における実験と理論の不一致の原因を，実際に用いたマイクロビッカースナノインデンテーション用圧子先端形状の詳細な解析結果から検討した。<br />
圧子先端形状の詳細な解析を行うにあたり，相当球直径関数DB(CP)の概念を導入した。この関数DB(CP)は，第8報中の押込み試験時に使用した一部の圧子に該当する圧子先端形状である回転双曲面体に対して線形関係を有することから，DB(CP)の導入により回転双曲面体圧子の先端形状を明確に定義できることが示された。また，上述の圧子における圧子先端形状は2種類の回転双曲面体から成り立っていること，および2種類の回転双曲面体に対する形状係数A，B，θnはDB(CP)の使用で正確に特定可能であることが解析結果から明らかとなった。<br />
最後に，特定された形状係数を用いて算出された弾性接触理論曲線HR(CP)と実験値との比較を行ったところ，両者の値は約20 nm以下の押込み変位領

ISO 14577におけるマイクロレンジに対応する押込み試験装置である島津製作所製DUH - 201Sは，幅広い押込み深さ・荷重範囲，低価格および取り扱いの容易さから，既に国内外で約600台の販売実績を有している。<br />
そこで本研究では，DUH-201Sを利用した材料物性の実用的押込み解析手法の確立を図るため，0.5〜2 Nの押込み荷重範囲におけるダイヤモンド球状圧子を用いた押込み試験を各種試験片に対して行った。得られた押込み除荷曲線試験データより，球状圧子の先端球径補正を伴う，圧子軸と試験機の弾性変形量を考慮した球圧子のヤング率算出理論を用いてヤング率算出を試みた。更にHertzの弾性接触理論に基づく圧子と試験片との弾性接触解析を行い，算出した試験片ヤング率の妥当性を検討した。

以前報告した先端に丸みを有する角錐圧子および球圧子における接触深さの関係式の導出と同様に，円錐圧子における接触深さの正確で一般化した関係式の導出を行った．また，関係式中の係数に関してISO14577-1との比較を行い，係数が試験片の弾性パラメータに応じて変化する事を示した．

Thermal Barrier Coatings (TBCs) are the key-technology to improve thermal efficiency for heat engines such as gas turbines in power stations, and it has been applied to both blades and vanes of gas turbines. About TBCs, it is important to understand Young's modulus of ceramic top coat for estimating thermal stress caused by mismatch of thermal expansion coefficient between ceramic top coat and metal under coat (or substrate). In addition, it has been reported that progression of sintering phenomena and consequently changing of Young's modulus of top coat occur in the porous TBCs ceramic top coat. Therefore, it is necessary to discuss the influence of microstructure (porosity and distribution of pore) of top coat on changing Young's modulus with progression of sintering phenomena. In this study, three kinds of TBCs specimens that have different distributions of pore were subjected to various long-term high temperature exposures. Then, Young's modulus of top coat was calculated by using indentation testing method, and porosity of top coat was measured based on cross-sectional SEM image and its image analysis. From obtained data, behavior of Young's modulus change and influence of different distribution of pore to the above-mentioned behavior were discussed.

In this study, three kinds of TBCs specimens that have different distributions of pore area were subjected to various long-term high temperature exposures. Then, both thermal conductivity and porosity (based on cross-sectional SEM image and its image analysis) of top coat were measured. From obtained data, behavior of thermal barrier property change and influence of different distribution of pore area to the above-mentioned behavior were discussed.

HOT-DIP tin plating, which is a kind of the melting plating processes, has been the mainstream of tin plating using as connectors of electric devices, and has some advantages such as low environmental load and no short circuit caused by formation of whisker. As plated, the intermetallic layer is caused by diffusion between melted tin liquid and phosphorous bronze substrate on HOT-DIP tin plating. However, it has been reported that another intermetallic layer, which has high hardness and brittle behavior, is composed in elevated temperature during actual application. In this study, some observations and analysis were carried out on the HOT-DIP tin plating specimens subjected to different heat treatments (temperature and environment) to discuss the influences of both temperature and environment on formation of another intermetallic layer. Furthermore, ultra-micro indentation testing on them surface by various indentation loads were conducted to detect the formation and the growth of another intermetallic layer easily.

Thermal Barrier Coatings (TBCs) are developed as a method for increasing the operation gas temperature of gas turbines for electric power stations, and recently they are applied to 1500 degrees C class gas turbines. On the other hand, they have been reported that the repetition of thermal stress caused by a difference in the thermal expansion coefficient between thermal barrier ceramic layer and metallic layer in TBCs promotes Coating damage. Therefore, understanding the accurate value of top-coat (TC) Young's modulus that can estimate the extent of generated thermal stress is necessary to ensure material reliability. However, because TBCs are formed as a composite material of combined thin layer coatings, the essential problem that TBCs can't apply to general materials estimation experiment is obvious.
We have studied the estimation of TC Young's modulus by using indentation hardness tests. In the former paper, we reported that the calculated TC Young's modulus for TBCs specimens depends on the indentation load. Therefore, we first discuss such dependency in the present paper. As a result, we clearly show that the reason for the load dependency of the calculated TC Young's modulus below 147N of indentation load is the effect of under-coat (UC) and calculating TC Young's modulus by using this procedure can eliminate the UC effect until an indentation load of 9.8 N. In addition, we examine the fracture behavior of TC following the indentation process and discuss the reason why does calculated TC Young's modulus decrease above 147 N.
We also discuss the influence of TC anisotropy on calculated TC Young's modulus, and then we confirm that the influence of TC anisotropy rarely appears using this procedure.

The aim of this study is to determine Young's modulus by means of measured indentation load, depth and elastic recovery displacement of an indenter during loading and unloading processes using a developed horizontal ultramicro hardness tester. In order to determine correctly Young's modulus of materials in narrower and shallower area of nanometer or micrometer level, authors use very small ball indenters that are made by bearing ball of a diameter in 0.3mm and 0.5mm. Several metal specimens [carbon steel, stainless steel, high tension brass and aluminum alloy] are used in test. Young's moduli of metal specimens calculated on the ball indentation theory show good agreements with that of uniaxial compression test. As a result, effectiveness of evaluation method of determining Young's modulus with a small ball indenter is confirmed.

Two kinds of thermal cycle test in air, which had different holding times (short (10min) and long (23h) holding time), wart: carried out to investigate both the thermal cycle damage and the thermal barrier function of plasma-sprayed coatings. Surface cracks vertical to the coating surface nucleated during the thermal cycling were found in the SEM observations of the coating surface. The surface tracking behavior was dominated by thermal stress cycling, while the holding time during thermal cycle did not influence the cracking behavior. From the SEM observations and X-ray analysis, a thin stable Al2O3 layer, which prevented to diffuse metallic elements from the CoNiCrAlY under-coat layer, was formed at the interface between CoNiCrAlY under-coat and PSZ top-coat layers during thermal cycling. No delamination crack was observed. Thermal conductivity increased with increasing number of thermal cycles, which indicates the degradation of thermal barrier function. From the porosity measurements, it was found that the increase of thermal conductivity was mainly due to the decrease of porosity. No diffusion of elements was detected in the PSZ top-coat layer. No change in thermal conductivity was found during thermal cycling in Vacuum atmosphere. Therefore, surface diffusion at the interparticle hair crack and at the sharp corner of pores under oxygen pressure seemed to be dominant phenomena to decrease porosity.

真空雰囲気中での熱サイクル付与によるしゃ熱コーティング材の損傷発生挙動を検討するため，SEM内でその場観察可能な熱サイクル試験機を設計・製作し熱サイクル試験を行った．SEMによる表面損傷観察，熱伝導率測定，熱応力解析，等の検討より，コーティングの傾斜組成化により約200℃の熱サイクル温度上昇を可能にする事を確認した．
