本研究の目的は、1970年代-1980年代のソ連においてジャズ、ロック、大衆歌謡、前衛芸術、非公式芸術がどのように生まれ、変化していったのかを明らかにすることにある。1970-1980年代のソ連では、後に「ソビエト・ジャズの黄金時代」と呼ばれるほど、さまざまなジャズが生まれ、発展し、前衛的な音楽家が地下で活躍した。ジャズに関わったのは音楽家だけではない。特に非公式芸術の詩人、作家、美術家、演劇人等さまざまな人物がジャンルの垣根を越えて交流し、協働し、多様な音楽や作品を創造し、人的ネットワークを築いた。しかし、このジャズ文化の全体像はいまだに明らかにされていない。本研究では1970年代-1980年代のソ連におけるジャズ文化に関係する資料の収集・調査はもちろんのこと、これらに関わった芸術家、音楽家、詩人などに現地で聞き取り調査をし、多角的なアプローチを行うことによって、ソ連時代末期の文化の多面的・複合的特質を解明する。
ヤロスラーヴリにあるジャズ・センター（所長：イーゴリ・ガヴリーロフ）が所蔵する音楽、音源、レコード、文献などの資料を詳細に調査し、ソ連時代末期のジャズ文化の進化と変容について考察するのが主目的だが、新型コロナ・ウィルスのまん延により、ロシアへの渡航が不可能なため、ロシアの研究協力者たちとのメールでのやり取りによる資料収集、zoomやskypeによるミーティング・聞き取り踏査によって研究を進めた。また、令和３年度に次の2回の公開研究会を行った。第1回研究会「ポスト・クリョーヒン・スタディーズ」(2021年9月19日、zoomで開催。報告者：鈴木正美、岡島豊樹)、第2回研究会「ポスト・クリョーヒン・スタディーズ」(2022年3月19日。zoomで開催。報告者：鈴木正美、岡島豊樹、土肥理香)。

In St. Petersburg, in the latter half of the 20th century, original rock music was born and developed. Musicians weren't the only ones involved in rock. In particular, various figures such as unofficial poets, writers, artists, and theater people interacted and collaborated across genres to create a variety of music and works. And they built a complex human network. The central figure in the network was Sergey Kuryokhin. In this study, we collected and investigated materials related to rock culture and unofficial art and Kryohin in St. Petersburg. And by taking a multi-faceted approach, we attempted to elucidate the multi-faceted and complex nature of St. Petersburg's culture from the late 20th century to the present day.

We made the field survey to clarify, how Avant-garde art (music, art, literature) was born, changed, altered and evolved in the Soviet regional cities in the 1980's. We made an interview with people involved in Avant-garde art, and collected the basic data and materials. We studied on the basis of them, held some public open conferences every year. As a result, we were able to obtain new knowledge about the Avant-garde art in the Soviet regional cities in the 1980's.

We made the field survey, how Underground art had changed, altered and evolved in Russia before and after the collapse of the Soviet Union. We went the interviews with people involved in the underground art and collected the basic data. We studied on the basis of them, held some conferences and the symposium, which open to the public. Thereby, we were able to obtain new knowledge about the uniqueness of the Russian culture before and after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

We made the field survey about close relation of unofficial art(nonconformist art) and of jazz culture which developed uniquely in the Soviet Union and Central Europe of second half-of 1950 s-1980 s., and about the creative place and the formation of a human network which were born in underground. We collected data and continued to research based on them, and held some conferences and the symposium of general public presentation. Thereby, the feature and function of art culture in the old Communist bloc society became considerably clear.
